    Score!!!

Found some more Sil last night, so I will be able to make the boys tarps bigger. There is one small problem with the color, it looks like half of it was bleached. I'm making a jacket out of some of it but I have to figure out how to make it look cool so the boys don't mind the colors. I'll take a picture tonight when I get home and post it.

grey that bleads to white. Pretty funky looking. The jacket is going to be grey up top bleading to the white at the bottem. hope to be able to have it all blead the same. That's if I can follow the pattern I bought last night.

It looks faded like if you leave something in the sun too long and it fades the color. Pics coming tomorrow so you can see what I mean. It's sil, I have 14 yards of grey sil and it's the same. It might of been the end of the roll when they died it and it just didn't get any die.

Some of my sil has little threads on the selvage like that. Does that material fray when you scratch at that edge with your fingernails?

I was thinking it looks a little more dull like DWR, and the wrinkles look more like how DWR would wrinkle vs crisp new sil, but it's hard to tell from a picture.

It looks dull because I couldn't use a flash because it just made the pic all white and I had to dull the overhead light to get the bleed to come out in the pic.

That makes sense. I wish it were easier to tell the difference in pics...sure would make it easier to discuss things on HF!

The Sil I just scored today at WalMart also has a little fraying on the selvedge. But just inside of that you can clearly see that the fabric looks different due to the silicon impregnation. The impregnation did not completely reach the edge of the selvedge. On the cut edge of the fabric it definitely does not fray. What I found is also very noticibly ripstop. It's hard to tell in your picture if yours is ripstop.
