    Hello From NC

Well i have been lurking around the site for a while now and wanted to just say hello and thanks for all the great info.
I have been hanging in my Eagles Nest for the last several summers, with Profly and slap straps along with their bug net. No complaints really (everything is so old i dont think there is any stretch left). This Christmas I moved over to the Hennessy just out of curiosity.

I just added whoopie slings after reading how. As soon as I get some time I will be trying it out. As a scout leader i get a trip a month and at least one week of summer camp a year in the woods. The Hammock is the only way to go.

By the way the holiday get together at Mac's house was not only informative but lots of fun. I look forward to some local Hangs. Anyone up for a trip to Linville in the Spring?

welcome to the madness from a fellow nc hanger...I believe we (linvillegorge.net) are trying to get a hang/trail work gathering in early spring, the dates have not been set yet...so maybe we can meet up then

Ask that question at the forums on www.LinvilleGorge.net and you'll likely find some eager respondents.

Well, ya gotta drop some hints and educate the decision makers!

Thing1 is only a little older than you, and she goes on as many hangs as she can!

oh man, I was actually planning a wilderness trip to the gorge in late april but my brother couldn't make it and we're in Ohio, so the rest of us decidedto stay close to home and go steelhead fishing in NE Ohio... gonna be hangin' and fishing but I'd much rather be roughin' it in the gorge, looks beautiful in the pics. If there is more than one trip there this year I'm definitely going to do my best to make it. Watchin' Shugs vids got me pumped to go. btw, WELCOME!

    last week in October.. Check
    Sometime in May... Check

    And now this!
