My first "hang'in out" thread with pictures

Well, this is a mixture of a few photos in breaking me in to the hammock hanging. I am behind the camera, but here are some scenes of Rat navigating the trail, chopping wood with my "hatchet" and finally my hang style. I am learning as I go, but for the most part, I hung with Rat this past weekend and it was cold enough to freeze water solid - I managed to stay warm and rolled out of the hammock the next morning - guess that qualifies me.

I still need to get some weight off but for now I am hanging out!

Are there instructions on how to post a larger photo that does not need to be linked to get to the photo?

    Word association: Rat/chopping wood/anger management.

Looks like a great start to hanging, and you couldn't have a better instructor.

    Thanks for the trip report.

Clickable photos are actually better. Folks reading on small devices (phones, pads, etc) don't need to be forced large images.

Rat taught me another knot this weekend. I am partial to my Arapaho knot (a wrap it any way you want) but they drive Rat nuts.

By the way, me and Rat have been shadows to each other for over a decade, so if you read some out of line remarks I make about him - he deserves them.

    Excellent report thanks for sharing.
The simplest way to attach full sized picts is just type:

Nice pics. I'm curious about two things . What tarp are you using and what is that green side pouch that Rat has, brand etc. Thanks
