I've looked at this on and off. Says breathable, not sure how much tho. Dual purpose and cheap/

Thank you MuseJr for the link and idea,
I will email 2qzqhammockhanger.com to see what they might offer in a custom light weight breathable material.

I have already emailed Tree toTree with my request.

    PigSlayer,
I will be sure to post up what the vendors offer in case you decide to go that way as well. If you find a deal out there please let me know I might be interested.

thanks everyone, you guys have made my quest so much easier...

Sure can't beat that price 13 bucks wow.

I just don't trust "waterproof and breathable"
I always sweat in my gortex.

I really like the way the IX attaches to the hammock. Who ever designed that is simply Brilliant. Adjusting it so the UQ is not compressed should be very easy.

I would just pull the trigger on the IX sock no seep but I don't have anymore room in my winter pack for the bulky-ness of additional insulation.

In the interest of pack-ability and weight savings maybe I am not even looking for "wind-proof" just a convection reducer LOL

I thought of having one made of Gore Windstopper. Better breathability than Goretex but blocks the wind nicely. I have a jacket and gloves made of it and works as advertised. Maybe Pertex is even better?

Esoteric material would probably raise the price.
Simple thin ripstop nylon with an edging to add a little strength along the edge where you climb in.

I don't have a set release date yet but I have been toying with this for a while now. I would be the bottom side version of the BBO. It will be breathable and non insulated from ripstop. Still needs work before we have it in production but........it's not just a dream.

Excellent! Can't wait to see your offering. Will keep checking your website and the Arrowhead Equipment section of HF for a release.

Ah someone who has a poncho cover.
How small does it pack? Is the material thicker than ripstop nylon?

    Thanks for joining in.
