Right now it looks like I'll be hitting the southern trailhead around the very beginning of August. I plan to take about 3 1/2 weeks and enjoy it. Hopefully this fits in with a large annual get together at our house and also a possible September vacation.

Heading Northbound? Good stuff, I may try and join in for a few days.

All: Although we are buried in lots of snow, I'd still like to arrange a group hang for early spring. Let me know folks.

I have the first weekend of March free if that works for any of you. I am down in CT, but am up for anywhere, preferably within a 3hr drive. I could probably take that Friday off and have the 4th, 5th and 6th free.

    Anyone else free that weekend?

I may be in for a spring hang, although it would depend upon the date and location. Maybe set up a poll to gauge interest in locations/dates?

genegene, I will most likely be attending yours. Thanks.

Bumping this back to the first page, getting cabin fever here with all this snow. Tried some snow shoeing recently but the trails are a mess.

How about the weekend of March 12-13th? Just throwing a date out there. Sawyer Pond sounds great to me. I personally would prefer a nice hike in (4.5 miles is very reasonable). What do others think?

The only downside for some is the fact that Sawyer Road will still likely be closed, eliminating a very easy 1.5 mi. hike. We'd have to hike 4.5 miles from the Kancamagus Hwy. end of the trail. There are actually two routes we could take but both are around 4.5 to 5 miles in length.

    What do you guys think?
