Hi everyone! I feel like my first post represents something similar to an intervention for a former ground dweller.
Approximatley 3 years ago, two of the guys I frequently camp with purchased Hennessy Hammocks. Upon first site, I admit I was not convinced... A novelty, I thought...
Well it seems that they brought their hammocks on every trip...over and over again. They were not (at all) interested in sleeping on the ground anymore. So..... this past May on a trip to Algonquin Provincial Park (Ontario, Canada), I finally asked the first of my hanging friends if i could spend a night in his hammock. And he said... "NO... I don't want to sleep on the ground!!" !!! Well that really made me want to try!!!! So after some tactical persuasive discussion, he relented from his position and permitted me a single night..
Best night sleep camping ... EVER!!
My name is Stevicide and I'm not going to sleep on the ground anymore.
btw, I have been reading the forum for weeks now and have learned alot so far from many of the great posts here. Thanks so far everyone!
