Yes, I'm very pleased with the results from this week. Wish I could have had that RMS so I'd really know, but I don't think I'll be dealing with anything colder on the Trail than I have here. Last night was sans pad, still using the pack cause I'm usually too tired when I go to bed that I get too lazy to switch out.

Gonna have to take the virtual Honorary Zero Hero. I beat-up the Den Leader's son in Cub Scouts; wasn't asked to come back. I still say he had it coming. I did get my webelo badge!

You're in for a real treat when you get your RMS--I've been loving it up here in NH. It's a shame you won't have anything cold enough in Florida to feel its magical warmth. Perhaps you could take it to a walk-in fridge somewhere for a little nap? I'm sure some meat hooks would be plenty strong to support a hang, but personally I'd want to avoid the smell...

Yep, I'm already trying to think up a good excuse for a brief road-trip someplace cold in the next couple of weeks.

well that confirms that i am definately a cold sleeper, i felt about the same way at 13*, that's a pretty big difference. i bet that's some kind of record for padless sleeping.

have you tried it without the sil shell yet??

No, but I'll give that a go tonight. I am kind of curious what, if any, difference it will make. Temps aren't forecast to be that low tonight, although it was only supposed to get down to 15F last night. Gotta love the weatherpeople.

Since I was dealing with some condensation issues inside the hammock last night, I'm pretty sure a 'sock' is my next project for this thing. With that, I bet sub-zero will be a walk in the park. The only problem is I've finally developed the agility to 'relieve' myself without leaving the hammock. A sock could complicate matters.

How long did it take you to figure out that is what the built-in pocket is for?
Sure that isn't related to the condensation issues?

It does take careful consideration when placing boots/shoes outside the hammock for the evening. It only takes ONCE to remember to move the footwear a little closer to the head-end. LOL

Think I'll start trying to figure a way to "relieve" myself in my bridge.
    Like water under the bridge.
Seriously, mastering a technique for this would be really nice in colder weather when getting out of the hammock is the last thing you want to do.
