She sells different flag pole diameters. Which one have some of you found is the best option?
The HF flag should be hung following the rules and etiquette for the American flag outlined in Title 4 of the US Code, Chapter 1, with some notable exceptions:
http://uscode.house.gov/download/pls/04C1.txt
(a) It is the universal custom to display the flag only from
sunrise to sunset on buildings and on stationary flagstaffs in the
open. However, when a patriotic effect is desired, the flag may be
displayed 24 hours a day if properly illuminated during the hours
of darkness.
Don't illuminate the flag at night unless you are on a solo hike. You're likely to annoy your camping buddies.
(c) The flag should not be displayed on days when the weather is
inclement. . . .
The HF flag can be hung in all weather!
(m) By order of the President, the flag shall be flown at half-staff
upon the death of principal figures of the United States Government
and the Governor of a State, territory, or possession, as a mark of
respect to their memory.
You don't need the President's permission to fly the HF flag at half-staff. The HF flag can be flown at half-staff when you lose your favorite knife, your UQ gets wet, or any particularly sad hiking or gear mishap.
