The pad goes under the legs where condensation isn't an issue. For the record, I hate pads!!!! I'm a sweater, so they aren't ideal for me. I can honestly say that using them in this configuration does not take anything away from the comfort factor.

I've slept very warm and comfortable with this set-up in pretty cold conditions. Since mine is a prototype I can't speak for WBG on what his retail price will be, but I'm sure it will be less than the cost of most other options out there (NO, mine wasn't free; don't hate ). The Warbonnet UQ takes care of my "3 Ws": Warmth, weight, & wallet. Plus, it's cool!
So, when are we ever going to be able to get one? Then I can have THREE under insulation set ups! Either that, or I'll be trying to sell a SS and PeaPod. Actually, I would hate to get rid of either, but there has got to be a limit to gear in closets. Or so my wife claims!

closets are so limiting. Think in terms of a basement (if you have one) or a spare room.

I have a Whole shop out back with a ful loft for gear . And now, Amanda is taking over half of it for some kind of weird sewing room, and I have to build it hahaha.

For what it's worth, I stumbled on this a while back and is an inexpensive alternative

Yeah, I used to think that way! Now, I'm trying to get everything I want to keep to fit inside my TrailBlazer; everything else is getting sold at Crazy Cannibal's Moving Sale this weekend. I've got way too much stuff!

Hammock stuff is already packed; I'll find the room.

Wish I could tell ya, hopefully soon. I've got a treat for you all in a couple of days. Today is my last day with internet access until probably Tuesday next week and I haven't had time to take the pics yet. I'm starting a new cult; my cult will worship the Warbonnet Trinity. No kool-aid or nikes, it's not that kind of cult.

He better get his site up quick; I'll be spreading the Warbonnet gospel from Georgia to Maine soon!

Careful, you could come off of Katahdin with turkey feathers tied in your hair

Nope! The head-shaving festivities are tonight after I finish my last day as an employed member of society. Maybe I can just glue the feathers to my head.

You could draw them on with a sharpie... Pictures, we need pictures.

Oh, there will be pictures; before & after! Did I mention that my Mom has lots of Native American blood and culture? I may be able to come up with an actual Warbonnet. How cool would that be?

Back to topic: I'm now a firm believer in the torso length UQ concept. Maybe a snugfit for short hikes or car camping, but the torso UQs are the way to go for weight. I'm still waiting on the down version of the Warbonnet UQ; drool, drool, drool.
