Well ; yes and no. Nuts are perfectly good as long as their placed right . Same goes for cams. Cams are cool because when their weighted they expand and get tighter, think Chinese finger puzzle. The down side is they walk which means when there's weight off and on , off and on they can sometimes walk a bit and come loose so if you use cams and are in and out of your rig make sure you check them by weighting them a bit to make sure their ok. It doesn't happen often but it can happen.
Discoverydiver; get nuts like these with smooth sides, their good enough and easier to take out with a nut tool.

Lawdowg; if you get camming devices something in the 1-2" range will cover allot. Something like these work well but then all the camming devices work well.
