Thanks for sharing these videos. I had watched others of your videos and wanted to see the stove get set up, which these videos did so well. How long does it take the stove to burn out and cool down so it can be packed away? Are there many ashes?

    Thanks again.

we put small wood in that morning just to cook with and by the time we are done eating the fire is about gone. 5 to 10 min later I can take the pipe off and empty the ashes (not a lot) and ready to pack. cools down quick.

    Thanks all...

That is a really cool setup. No offense Smokehouse, but I have to share my thoughts as I am watching this:

I would be afraid to put a stove into a nylon tent ...but Smokehouse must know what he is doing.

Those leaves make better tender than most of the fires I've started ...but Smokehouse must know what he is doing.

Don't sparks and embers come out the air holes sometimes ...but Smokehouse must know what he is doing.

And then you say, "we had a fire at our house" ...blew coffee all over the monitor.

Please excuse my irreverence, but it just caught me completely off guard. I do hope everything turned out ok with that.

The stove is very cool and i really like the way you can roll the chimney up so small.

Smokehouse, I am so impressed with that little wood burning stove. Excuse me for being ignorant, but i have never seen it before. I assume you built it. Do you sell them or have plans for others to build one? Do you stoke it real good before you bed down to keep that 65* inside for awhile?

Great trip report! I am still blowen away by that stove.

Smokehouse mentioned that he got his stoves here. The small one is the one he has.
