Ring/Toggle idea

I had an idea earlier..... I was reading a thread on here about toggles and this popped into my head...

Take 1-inch webbing and sew in the loops, one having a descender ring in it, the other open. Wrap that around a tree with the ring towards the hammock of course....

Use a whoopiesling with a toggle in the adjustable end.....insert the toggle through the ring, and adjust as normal.....easy, no knots and limited hardware (to lose or misplace).

Any thoughts on this?

Well TeeDee isn't currently available, but MustardMan is another Physics PhD. You might ask MustardMan for an analysis of the forces on the toggle. His answer would probably make you forget the idea.
