    My First Thread Injecter Project

Ok, not bad for a noob with no sewing experience. Bought me a 1952 Singer 15-91 for $80 that is like near new condition in a real nice Queen Anne cabinet.

Since I just bought a KAQ from AHE I decided to try my hand at making a pair of them "Triangle Thingies" to support my UQ.

Here is the completed project done in a little over 2 hours. I think my wife is still in shock that her fumble fingered husband could sew, much less make something.

Ok, Here are a couple pics. Came with a whole wicker basket full of accessories.

Looks like pro work to me, and true to the originals! The DIY bug is getting around this time of year.

Ha! I was looking back at your pic of the sewing machine cabinet and noticed the surge protector on the floor. Then realized that they didn't even have surge protectors when that machine was made ... how did they manage?

The Singer's a beauty! Great deal there! Good job putting it to use too! Gotta add to the "neatness" factor using a vintage machine.

Ya those old Singers will sew just about anything up to belt leather with proper needles. The great thing is that there are plenty of them around and parts are readily available from numerous places to include Ebay. I did alot of research on this machine and found just about any manual you could want from How To Sew for Beginners, Set-up, Adjustments, Lubrication all for this machine I have. There was three boxes of attachments for this machine that came in the basket. Along with spools and spools of thread and boxes full of every kind of button imaginable. Several paks of needles... THE WORKS

I bought the machine a few weeks ago and my wife was skeptical to say the least. Then a week or so later I ran up on a really nice clean 1923 Singer 66 tredle machine and was goin to look at it and WW3 broke out. So I am restricted to one sewing machine We were in Walmart where I picked up the camo cloth and I jokingly said, "That Serger there will be my next machine" and that when the hand came up across the back of my bald head.

    Thumbs up

Nine, nice "triangles" Sunny. Those look great. I can tell you are a stickler for details. Super job.
Hope mine turn out half as good and I'll be happy.
Pretty "thread-injector" too. Looks like that machine will get a workout with you sitting at it. Keep the projects coming.
