    'elo from East TN

'elo everyone. After talking with some of you via PMs I figured I might as well introduce myself and become part of the community.

I am a long time hanger; started out with a net hammock when I was younger and moved to an all fabric hammock (wool maybe?) that my mother picked up while she was on a mission trip in Ecuador. All this time I have always received strange looks, even from friends and family, but the funny thing is I always wake up more refreshed than they do and have about 1/10 of the work to do setting up and breaking down my shelter.

I like to backpack, camp, and hike whenever I have time. I always carry a hammock with me. I have been known to setup my hammock at work during lunch and just relaxing.

I recently converted my wife to hammock camping and was able to use this as an excuse to upgrade my hammock(s). We both have HH's now.

I thank you all in advance for any advice, tips, and tricks that I am able to use.

P.S. Big influx of TN hangers lately eh?

I'm thinking we need to call for a upper east TN Hangers Dinner....need to get an idea of where most are...I'd guess most are either in the Knoxville area or the TRI area so maybe Greeneville might be in the middle.
Not trying to sham you guyes in Nashville but Neo and Rainman usually have you all covered.

That would be pretty cool actually, and I would enjoy meeting everyone. It's always nice to meet others that share the same interests.

Yes, I have nodded off a time or two. When it's warm and a nice breeze comes through I have no hope.

Thanks again and you have a good one!

I might be able to manage a Knoxville dinner. It would be maybe 90 minutes away. I know there are a number of folks up toward the Johnson City/ Roan Mountain area.

    Welcome to the forums.

I would come to the dinner and bring some of my famous jello cake or maybe some buckeyes for dessert?
