I'm replacing my suspension with whoopies and I'm wondering what purpose a continuous loop serves. Can't I just larkshead the fixed end of the whoopie directly to the hammock?
Does the continuous loop have some juju that I'm not aware of?

You most certainly can just add the whoopies right to the hammock with no extra hardware. The Chain link or other companies continuous loops are were designed to replace knotted loops for buckles, rings and that sort of gear for hardware based suspensions. One of Duches invertions adds the use of a loop to make the main portion of the suspension removable so you can pack it separate.
