    i use small black metal 9s with no issues. plenty strong.

    Anybody use the figure 9 carabiner? I plan to tie an alpine butterfly in my tarp line then clip the biner in and go around the tree and tighten. Does that make sensne? The carabiner 9's are the smallest size 2 or 3 millimeter cord. I've just got to go try it I suppose.

    I did the same for a while, but opted for the standard 9 and slipped the tarp RL through the eye and over. It holds well, but can be moved along the RL as necessary.

    If you put the figure 9 on a prussic you are able to quickly adjust it on a ridge-line.
