Hello from Pine Barrens of New Jersey (USA)

No-longer young cyclist here who spends too much time on Century rides with a too-high heartbeat. Or so the charts tell me.
So, I'm attracted to a 1 kilo comfy chair and lounger, quickly strung up, to take a mid-ride nap otherwise taken on the bare ground.

And overnights, too, in stealth-camping mode. As for serious hikers, the downside of sleep following great fatigue is that you can sleep through the pain of pressure-points, with nasty repercussions the next day. Not so easy to recover after the first demi-century of life.

So, I'm looking forward to hanging.

Welcome! You should come to the NJ winter hang. It's in your backyard.

Even if you can't stay all weekend, you can always just stop out on Saturday to check out loads of different setups.

Welcome DemostiX. Hammock hanging is very comfortable, relaxing and restful and also very doable while cycling. I've a few century rides and enjoy them. I am curious what is a demi-century?

Howdy! I am a Monmouth/Ocean County person myself. Shore to please. Welcome to the forums. These folks are amazing folks. Just bought my first hammock this week, and I am glad I came here first to learn, because now I know what I bought was a much better choice than what I had originally wanted.

P.S. Ever been to the pygmy forest in the Barrens? I am hoping to intern down there this summer.
