Ditto on what Shug said about tuning the world out, being in the quiet woods and breath deep. Hope all goes well for you this coming week. I am also troubled with the world but i have to remember that peace starts with peace of mind within oneself. What is the sound of one snowshoe??.

I enjoyed the vids! You did a good job of taking the viewer along on your journey. Nice video quality too.

That buck did what they often do... stopped such that there was a tree between you, then looked back. Your video shot between the trunks was perfect! He would have run if you showed yourself left or right.

The trees have a stripe of snow all the way up one side, indicating that there was some wind in that snow storm!

    Good job!

The cross country skiers I have run in to out here are usually wearing all black. Now if you head up the hill to Alta or Snowbird, you might get blinded by some of the outfits. Standing out is an understatement and I don't get it.

Good luck with the work situation (more so for your buddies) and thanks for sharing the gear review.

Thanks for sharing your adventure. I would have gotten out this past weekend but I got into a fender/door bender on Saterday which squashed that idea this time. I'll see what happens next weekend.

Thanks for the love so far. I'm really glad how this video of the trip came out. So happy I switched computers for many reasons. The video rendering is just a bonus.

Really wish I would have gotten that hawk on video. He was the highlight of the trip. His scream/call was amazing and lit up the woods.

Funny thing after I ate again at 12am I dreamt that it was spring time when I woke up and the flowers were blooming.... woke up in a ball of sweat!!! The winter version of the Yeti and Mamba were cooking at times and the blackrock down hat was adding fuel to the fire! Had to air out for 10 minutes.

The Circuit was packed pretty tightly. Not sure but I think I can only fit enough for 2 days worth of food.

Tried packing the yeti and mamba in a cuben fiber stuff sack but they only fit in an 18 liter bag and that wasn't fitting in horizontal at all in the Circuit. So I put them back in their original stuff sacks and put them in the oven bag to protect them incase of freezing rain (forecast was for flurries/freezing rain).

    Excellent vids RP

Just lost myself for twenty minutes there, it's nice to daydream of better places when stuck in the office.

Can I come next time ? I'll carry your jacket for you

Great trip report and vids, Paul! Looked to be a great hike.

I am about to buy another camera, and am wondering about editing software for the music, graphics, etc. Which do you use?
