I'm going to think about it, I'll post back within a day with a yes or no on heading out there.
I can go to Barnes CG. Either way you got some driving.

From Barnes, I would do an out and back with my gear to Pine Mountain via Dolly Copp Road.

Again I am not sure how far I would actually make sense it might not be broken out. The main thing is to get out and test my gear at low temps and a hike is a hike, even if I am on a Forest Service Road.

I need to call the USFS and find out if the Barnes and Hancock are plowed. I may end up shoveling for exercise rather than hiking

What did you think of Acadia in Feb or March ?

Acadia would work well, I'm pretty flexible anywhere in Maine; driving doesn't bother me. I'm very used to it, unfortunately (Danged economy). Over the past two years I've driven from S.F. Bay Area to El Paso, TX (for a job), El Paso to here in Maine, just 'cause I wanted to. Maine back to El Paso last year (again, for a job) and then back to Maine by way of CA, OR, UT, WY, NE, IA, MO, IL, IN, OH, WV, VA, NC, SC, MD, PA, NY, ETC. So a trip out to Northern NH is just an 'out-n-back' for me.

I'm just watching pennies right now, since I'm looking for work in a dying field (IT). But not to the point that I become a psychotic hermit, lol. And finding people who WANT to go winter camping, especially up here, can be a 'slight' challenge.

If you decide to do Acadia, I could go during the 1st week of March. Heck, I am only an hour from Acadia. Longer days in March too.

I'm going to take a pass, unfortunately. The weather for most of Maine looks pretty dicey over the weekend.

Getting there, not much of a problem. Getting back, not so much.

On the "upside" it's going to be -11 or possibly lower Sunday night, so I can still give the ol' Winter Incubator & Burrow combo a bit of a workout. Adam figures mine should be good down to possibly -20.

Sorry about that, but I definitely want to get one or more NE group hangs set up for this year. Between New England, Eastern NY, New Brunswick/Nova Scotia/Quebec we have a lot of people and possibilities.

I'm holding out for a 3 season hang anywhere in Maine. Grafton loop trail would be a great hike and hang.
