I was hiking around White Springs today (through Big Shoals to Suwanee Valley Campground). Water seemed low to me but I'm not familiar with the exact area you're looking to put in. Very nice area around there. This sounds like a great trip! Can't wait to hear the reports and see the pics.

I want to hear all about this trip!
I'm gonna do the watertribe Cross Florida Challenge in June, which starts on the east coast of florida on the St. Mary's river and then gets onto the Suwannee after a 40 mile portage and finishes in the gulf.
Any info I can get on this route I'd surely love to have!

The trip is fast approaching and the excitement/preperations ramps up. Looks like South Ga got some much needed rain that will make it that much better. All arrangements are made & We have several forum members joining us. Will be a great time.

I just hiked this section on the FT, water is pretty low starting approx 1 1/2 miles upstream from I-75, lots of exposed snags and sand bars. You might have to portage in some spots upstream of White Springs. Have a great trip, regardless!! Please post a trip report
