What are the facilities on Goat Island?

What about water?
Is there a community spigot or anything?
If not, do you haul it in or filter the lake?

Think Gilligan's Island. . . not a single luxury.
Although, the marina is across the lake maybe a 10-15 minute paddle. . . or less than 30 secs by jet-ski for any of those "gotta have" items. Water can be had from the marina as well. Most brought over water last year plus I had two large collapsible water coolers filled. I don't recall anyone running out of water last year. However, with my inlaws living on the lake and 5 minutes away by boat, we will have access to plenty of "pre-filtered" water.
As for the "gotta GO!" moments. . . the personal cathole method was the preferred method last year. The community idea may not be a bad idea but some have taken issue with depositing where others have already deposited. Personally, I am in favor of this but location and construction would all need to be worked out. Maybe ChickenWing has some thoughts or ideas about this. . .

So, just so I know. would this be considered a "family friendly" hang, or should I try to pawn the young'uns off for the weekend?
It could be that the purpose of my life is merely to serve as a warning to others.
Definitely a FAMILY FRIENDLY HANG. I am planning to have my 8 & 11 year old daughters with me. Not sure if both will stay out on the island as my in-laws live on the lake but they will both be out there, hopefully hanging with me.
But as a second note, we will/have a permit for the entire island (I believe I am correct, right CW?) and there is plenty of space for those wishing to have more of the "adult" experience. This island works perfectly so that all can enjoy the weekend.

In my best Ed McMahon voice - "Hiyo!!! You are correct sir! Yes! Yes you are!"
...and I plan on having atleast one of my children with me. The bigger part of MY island will be set aside for FAMILY. Sites 1-3 will be G to PG while Sites 4 & 5 will be considered PG-13.
As far as a latrine is concerned... well, I am divided on this one.
