We will begin a Goat Island planning thread soon to work out the logistics of a great weekend relaxing with new & old friends as well as family. Just a thought . . .might want to get that permit to include that Thursday too. If I can get free from work, I'll start taking stuff over that day and hang Thursday night as well. Plus it may account for those "characters" that decide to show up a day early just for the fun of it.

Alright I have been lurking and following this thread but as soon as I saw Spam & Alcohol I knew I needed to be added to the "penciled -in" planning to attend list!
Lake Greenwood is too close to me in Greenville not to try and make this trip. Not to mention some of those "characters" sound like the characters from the John's Rock hang last spring...
You know something GDave, I think you might be onto something. The guys on the island were wearing camo spandex tights and had IX for a cape. Though they were far from being cleanly shaven, they did mention something about living close to their lair, the "Bat Cave". I think I have seen a sign for that on the way to John Rock coming from SC.
