Lightbulb Mirror mirror on the wall who is the lightest one of all?...

Ok i think the current theme so far is lighter and stronger is better to carry more of other things. So in the interest of fun and learning new things i propose an image contest. Whole systems, everything you take with you for your suspended sleep system, weigh it with a picture. Hammock then suspension, and insulation if you can.
Lets see who has the lightest gear.

ENO double, 10' whoopies, CAMP NANO biner's, and tree straps salvaged from a ratchet tie down. No insulation i live in florida and im also a very broke student. This is my every system though. Always got it with me.

Link to the Sgt. Rock thread alluded to by Raul. My hammock alone weighs more than twice his whole setup. Link to his original thread with more details and pics, in case you missed the link by JustJeff.

OK I'll play/I can't resist these types of competitions.

DYI Cuben Hammock w/6ft whoopies atttached 6oz/172grm

    6ft 1inch webbing with toggles 2 1/4oz/66grm

6x9 Cuben tarp w/6 tie outs with zline attached 4-5/8oz/130grm

    Cuben stuff sack 1/4oz/8grm

    Total 13 1/8oz/374grm

I didn't beat SGT Rock...but I plan on going to a diamond tarp this summer which should come in at around 3.5oz and also will loose some weight on only having 2 tie outs instead of six.
Also going to play around with some lighter cuben for the hammock as well. So that will definitely bring me in under the 13oz mark. Will do a post of it when I am "all" done.
I miss my 4.8Lb base weight as a ground dweller...But I sure DON'T MISS the ground.

I can't believe no one is jumping/biting on this. Or do we not care and its yah yah our hammocks what they are and who cares what they weigh.

For me every decision made regarding gear concerns weight VS function weight.

Nice. Same here. This is what i wanted to see, each setup and their respective weights in in a relative volume. All good fun.
