Will dog nails harm a Hennessy?

I have the A-Sym Zip Hennessy and a 42lb dog. I got her to lay in there on top of me, but I am concerned about her nails possibly tearing a hole in the material of either my down sleeping bag or hammock. Thoughts?

As long as you keep their nails trimmed you should be good to go. I have a blackbird though and never been in a HH. However, I would imagine that the situation would be pretty much the same.

Get her some booties to be safe. A whole cheaper than replacing your gear.

And some pics. Dogs in booties are just too good not to document.

When I sent my Explorer Deluxe to 2Q/ZQ for a zipper mod I had ZQ put in 4 grossgrain loops at the foot end. I attach a piece of 1000 codura to the loops. The dog lays at my feet and I don't have to worry about nails.

That is a good idea. I plan to use a footpad as my little dog also sleeps by my feet. The bottom seems to be a much thicker material in my HH than my BB, so I plan to keep the dog out of the BB. I probably should have went with the 1.7 BB for that reason.
