    Lightbulb New hanger in ohio

hi everyone I'm kyle from Dayton Ohio. this is my first post on the diy forum.
I recently caught the MYOG bug and have been making gear constantly for the past two weekends. Thus far I have made a whipped end hammock from 1.9oz ripstop from JoAnn's (9.5yds for $10 woohoo for going out of business sales), a hammock sock from 1.1oz silnylon (from noah lamport) and whoopie slings from 7/64" amsteel. for my tree huggers i repurposed the webbing from a ratchet strap.

here is the hammock hung from some spare 550 cord and ratchet straps with carabiners

    chillin in the hammock

chillin in the hammock shortly before the dogs tried to knock me out of it

here is everything (hammock, hammock sock, tree huggers, whoopie slings, nacrabiners) packed up and ready for action

I dont have a scale that will measure the total weight but I'd guess its around a pound

I'll try to get pics of the hammock sock up soon

Thanks to JustJeff for design inspiration
