    Colorado spring hang planning thread

Well, those Florida folks are already planning their next hang, and they just had one this weekend - we can't let them outdo us, can we??

Let's start talking about what we want to do next - I've attached a poll to discuss whether we'd like to do a car camp, short hike, or longer hike. We can also throw out ideas for location and time - somewhere around March or April sounds good to me, but I'm open to suggestions.

There are lots of other people from Colorado on Hammock forums. We have organized several group hangs in the past...

    Hi Mustardman,
I did not vote because I am up for any Colorado Group Hang. So my vote is yes to all three, lol

If anyone is interested in a hang a little bit sooner than Mar/Apr I am heading up to Kenosha Pass 2nd week of Feb.
3 days 2 nights. Hope to snowshoe/pulk in ~2 miles and tuck into the trees above Baker Lake. Plan to scout the trail one day this week
to see how much snow is up there.

I voted for short hike, but I really don't care. As long as the dates work out, I'll be there.

March is probably the best time for me. I leave for training at the end of April and won't be able to camp until I get back at Christmas. Well, I'll probably be camping some...just not the kind y'all like to do!

I'd kinda like to do something in southern Colorado this time...but again, I'll go wherever as long as the dates work for me.

Southern CO sounds cool to me - change up the scenery a bit.

"I'd kinda like to do something in southern Colorado this time..."

March is good and s. Colorado would bring in more of the NM group.

I've always wanted to check out the Black Canyon of the Gunnison.
No clue if they have good hanging trees. Just tossing this out. Any place is fine with me.
    March works.

Same here. I just hope I have better luck with this one than the last one.
