Hello from Cincinnati, Ohio

I've been taking advantage of the great posts and info on the forum for a while and thought it time to check in.

I'm a 48yr old family man and spend much of my time behind a PC as a IT manager. I'm an avid hiker and on the weekends can be normally found checking out some yet unexplored trail, running trail building projects, or just doing some normal trail maintenance. In fact, longer hikes are what got me into camping. My ultimate goal is to thru hike the AT. As you can tell I LOVE HIKING. This along with my faith is where my trail name originated.

I came across the forum after seeing one of Shug's vids on YouTube. Shout out to all the forum members who have taken the time to post vids. The reason family and I are interested in hammocks we just can't seem to get a good nights sleep on the ground. I've taken the plunge and ordered a Hennessy Explorer ASYM Zip...it's coming this week!

Hello and Welcome! I'm a 43 yr old IT manager, new to hammocking myself. I also have dreams of thru hiking the AT, and spend as much time on it in PA, MD, and VA as possible until that day arrives.

Anyway, look around, glean info, test gear, and have fun. The hammock, for me anyway, opens up a whole new outdoor experience.
