    2 people-1 tarp

My girlfriend and I are looking to hang under the same tarp. Does anybody hang 2 hammocks under 1 tarp regularly? I was looking at the big mamajamba, dimensions seem big enough.

No problem, I hang with my daughter under the same tarp that is similar in size to the BMJ. I think that there is some video footage of this on my Linville Gorge trip report

I use a Kelty Noah 12 for two. I even had three hammocks under it in the backyard.

I use this tarp solo in the winter and with my wife under the same trees. Works great (BIG tarp).

+ one more on the Kelty Noah's 12

I've used it with two hammocks underneath (what I refer to as The Honeymoon Suite) in various configurations. Here's one:

I'm really looking forward to the new tarp Smokehouse built designed for two - it is also called "The Honeymoon Suite".

... we had to do bunk beds, but it was because of tree abailability, not tarp size....

I use a custom OES 12x10 for two-hammock hanging. I have hung two under the Big Mambajamba, but in my opinion it's not sufficient coverage for two hammocks in nasty weather - especially if you hang from three trees and are spread out a bit.

I have more pictures of my 12x10 here - in one of the more unique hanging configurations:

I'm also thinking a DIY version of smokehouse's honeymoon suite is in order soon..

I really like the 10.75 oz. weight of the spinn mamajamba. Our plans are to thru hike the AT in 2012 and hanging under one tarp would save the weight.
