    Hello from Germany

    Hi everybody,

after reading a lot in this forum and especially enjoying the trip reports I pulled the plug and ordered a NX-250 yesterday.

I wouldn't call myself experienced but I have been to Scandinavia, Germany (of course), the alps, Canada and Australia doing more or less comfortable hiking and camping (this with family). I have never seen someone hiking with a hammock. But I know how difficult it is to find a good camp site with a tent and I love the comfort of a hammock.

This forum gave me enough confidence, so I'll just try and see if it works.

The NX-250 seems a little too much for a beginner who is just trying, but I really want to know if hammocking is for me - I can add some leaner ideas later. DIY is an option for me, I am not so bad in sewing but first I'll have to learn what I really need.

    Happy hangin'

    Welcome from Sweden!

Nice with more european hangers here at the HF!
Though I don´t have anything against the others at HF only that they live so far away.

You´re always welcome to visit Scandinavia again!

Greetings from Mannheim! I'm sure you'll find out how comfortable hammock-hanging can be!

I haven't seen anything else but my own DIY gathered-end hammock till now but this might change since the German community seems to be growing here at HF! The NX-250 seems to be ready for all weather you may encounter out there -- make sure you'll find your time to hang outside and let us know about your experiences with this piece of gear!

Have fun and get out hanging!
