    New years hang

Brought in the new year hammock camping with 2 of my nephews. It was the 10yo's first time. We had a blast. Took them to Panther creek trail in Georgia.
I tell you what.....it's some serious work organizing 3 packs full of gear, setting up 3 hammocks for the expected freezing temps, and making sure they didn't fall down the cliff. I was slap worn out.
    But it was worth it.

We spent the night on Springer. Myself, my son Cerberus and my oldest son in on leave from the Army. Great trip, but you are right. It's a lot of work getting everything together for 3 people for the weather. But, we all stayed toasty warm until we were forced to get out of our hammocks this morning!
Met several people from HF - good to put faces with names!

What a great way to bring in the new year!

Ed and his wife were there, Youngblood, Stoikurt, Skidsteer, Trekngril, Peanuts, were there. We met Allgood as he finished his SOBO on NYE. Neo was planning to come, but didn't make it. All we can figure is that he stayed home to do some extreme backyard testing You were missed, Neo!

Stumpknocker was there to begin his NOBO. He made it from Springer to the Springer Shelter on day one, making it a nero day. (Actually went to the summit at one minute after midnight, then back to the shelter!)

There were several others there, but it was so cold, not a lot of visiting. We were all anxious to get into our warm hammocks! But never fear, there were some brave souls that stayed up and welcomed the new year in style!

Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.
