    Sore heels?

Does anyone else ever get sore heels from the hammock? I have tried to dial in the DN over the past few nights in my indoor rig and I noticed my heels hurt from the material pressing on them .

Does anyone else have this issue?

I have a couple of times. I started putting a Thermarest sit pad in my TQ footbox ...lightly inflated. It helps and you can separate your heels a bit.

Yeah! That's the other thing, my feetsies get squished together. I haven't played with any kind of pad yet, so I guess that's the next step.

Yep. Slightly squishy foot pad is great or a pillow under your knees helps, too. I've even used a pair of thick socks between my ankles to help keep my feet separated. I do that in a pinch, but not always.

I also find that a pillow (i.e. a stuff sack with a down vest in it) under the knees helps. You might try to adjust (increase) your sag or lengthen the material on that side/end of the hammock (by redoing the whipping). Make sure you're not laying with your feet elevated too far above your heart, as that can affect circulation.

And play around with the height of your feet - when i have my head to high, i experience exactly the problems you're describing here(especially if i haven´t changed my dirty/moist socks)

I have adopted the figure 4 sleeping position for this issue. Seems to do the trick so far.

    I sure did!

My solution (in addition to other issues) was the Bridge from JRB.

    Great hammock.

I've been thinking on picking one of those up! Pan told me they'd be at the Spring MAHHA. I'll test one out there and see!

i had that happen two nights in a row a while back and never since. it felt like my left heel was on fire when i woke. I switched to the figure-4 position with left heel on top. Also I noticed in those occurrences that i woke up in the exact position i fell asleep in, not sure if that had anything to do with it.

When i sleep inside ive been putting a pillow behind my knees and its made a huge difference in foot comfort
    ...in it for pics.
