Whats warmer UQ vs. Neoair?

The R value for a NeoAir is 2.5. That would be insulated down to about 40°-45° F. Two inches of down would normally be warm down to 40° F.
I would not want to use a vapor barrier in Thailand, as vapor barriers tend to work in temperatures below freezing. You''ll just get stuck in your won sweat if temps are in the 50's.

yeah only use the VB below 40F ... you would put it in between the hammock and the UQ ...

If all you're going to have to deal with is 50*, I suggest the UQ as well. It'll breathe much better beneath you. In a warmer, humid climate that will probably do a lot for you in terms of comfort.

Keeping down from clumping up due to humidity and sweat may become an issue for you though with an underquilt. I love down as insulation, but I'm not sure it's the way to go for Thailand.

One things for sure though, a deflated pad isn't going to do much for you at all, and an underquilt won't pop on you.

Down clumping with the humidity is something I had not factored in. I guess we'll have to see how things go with the summer underquilt and hope the summer isn't too warm.

It seems 50 degree's and humidity is not the easiest thing to be comfortable in.
