I haven't used one, and was trying to find the link to a video review done by Arson here on HF. I love my ENO db, but not the accessories. If you want a synthetic uq at a fair price, check out Arrowhead Equipment or Tree to Tree. As I recall, the ENO uq is on the heavy side, and looked like it had a lot of air space from hanging pretty far beneath the hammock at the ends.

arson has done a two parter review, which all in all he said he likes. Old Gringo did one with another person from here, they mentioned the cold spots since it doesn't comform to the body but does block wind and no moisture accumulated during their test. There's another guy on YouTube, fixedbydoc, who did a review as well. Does seem heavy but I'm pretty sure it's around 32oz's which is par for the course for synthetic UQ. I have an ENO and lots of accessories but if I'm spending that money, I'm buying a KAQ for synth underquilt

One of my coworkers has the ENO ember underquilt, which I believe is the one you're referring to.

Couple of issues he had with it...

-By design, it wraps tightly around you, decreasing efficiency by compressing and not allowing insulation to loft

-Elastic bands make fit snug around his doublenest, making it tough to diagonal hang

-Condensation was a problem in South Carolina sub 30degrees

    -Heavy

    Hope this helps

I just want a "real" under quilt so darn bad that a drool over everyone's (in hopes that they'll be offended by germs and give me one, so far it's not working) but with all of that said....this is not one I drool over, let alone even dream about.

I use Sew-up PLUQ with a DN. Works quite well for me. Have been down around 40 and been quite warm (using a heavier Coleman rectangle bag as a TQ) and last weekend was down around 30 but woke up with chilly feet (the PLUQ is about 2/3 length) but was pretty comfortable otherwise.

That is what we currently use too. That is why I mentioned a "real" UQ. With the light, airy, insulative properties of many onces of down. Wonderful word of fluff under my back and rump That is what I dream about.
