Got chased out of the park yesterday so I came back home and set up in the back yard. Couldnt hang as theres nothing strong enough to support my winter fed self. But I did look very closely at the BMJ w/side pull outs I ordered with my WBBB.
OK--first and only complaint---the bishop bags provided are really slick and hard for me to hold onto with or without gloves and since the tarp and hammock are slick also , it made for an interesting show with colorful language. I'm sure the neighbors were entertained. I'm sure I'll get used to it (the bags, not the neighbors).
Heres a couple pics of the tarp fully deployed with all lines attached. I looked over the stitching closely and saw no frays or loose threads. This is an awesome tarp and I LOVE the side panel pulls. Makes for a few extra stakes but looks to be very stable and able to hold up under the high winds we get here in Indiana. It has really good coverage.
So for those who may question a "made in china" tarp for quality, I give this one 2 thumbs and 2 big toes up.
The Black Bird is also most excellent in quality and roominess. Alas, I have'nt had a chance to spend more than a few minutes in it. That will change soon and more hammock porn will be posted.
So a big THANKS to Brandon for a really nice hammock/tarp design.
By the way--I came from using a bottom entry HH. The sit down and lay down is so much better than open up, turn around, sit down, lift legs and scrunch backwards and hope my pads in the right position, which it never is.
