Want to give it another go

Last year I tested a Hennesey Hammock and it failed. I did not like it. But after considerable reading and watching vids, I have decided to give it another goal. I always believe in human error and so, that may very well be the reason..

If there is anyone in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area here, i would like to discuss with you and perhaps take a look at your system. Maybe 2 heads are better than one..

I am considering on the Clarks Jungle Hammock.

    Send me a PM..

    Thanks Graywolf

I'm curious about the fail comment. I've done three blind (no pro input) DIY bottom entrance hammocks. Tried everything I could think of and ended up on the ground with two very skinny hammocks above me, every time. I know HH are probably great and were the inspiration I needed to get off the ground... but, how can a slice in ripstop ever be counted on to last? The logical solution is to abandon the problem.

That's what's in the back of my mind whenever I'm checking them out. In theory it'd benice but I just can't letmyself trust it. Really don't trust anything under a 350lbs test. Just me though.

I'm afraid I'd have to chalk this up to your design. I've never had any issue with my bottom entry failing and certainly don't end up on the ground when I try to use it. If the design didn't work do you think there'd be so many of them in use?

you're right and I will probably try it again (Maybe not, I figured out what a WBBB is). I would buy one but making it myself is half the fun. Like I said HH inspired me to change my paradigm (oooh I think that'll be the name for my next hammock)
Anyway the quest for the bottom entry DIY has kept my hoarders box full

No weight is resting on the bottom entrance , for you lay on the diagonal. My friends, family,or I havent had any issues with HH failing. Graywolfs failure had to do with the hammock suspension failing between the hammock and suspension line. Which I couldnt and still dont understand how it could fail ( drop him to the ground) witout completely coming apart. Graywolf I thought you were exchanging for another HH. I think you shouldnt write them off yet. I know many, many people with HH and they love them includings me. I just converted/modded my sons HH to ring buckles and it did slip out. But that was my own fault for not securing with an extra knot, I guess. Anyhow, dont give up. Good luck....

Well, this is an old thread but the first time I saw this. Whoops!

I work in Riverside but live closer to the beach (still west of the Intracoastal, though).
