    Hang Patches, et al ...

I used to have the names of mountains I summitted embroidered on a pack towel hanging from my pack.

I just got my new HF Flag, and that will always be with me - even on day hikes! But the idea of "Hang Patches" for indiviual hangs (First Annual, etc ...) intrigues me now.

Check-out the awesome patch that was made-up for those that went to the 1st annual Florida hang .... creative, and just awesome! GREAT Keepsake! (there is only one first, ever ..)

So...now I think that using the HF logo - or some part of it - incorporated into the 'official' hang patches for hangs would be sweet! I will be having some made-up for any hang I attend this upcoming year .... Could be a great memory jogger, and visual diary of your hangin' travels!

Put 'em on the pack, a towel, or even a separate flag.

Not recommending anything, really, just philosophizin'.

That is an interesting idea and would be nice. I also had the thought, with all the cold weather camping going on, that a patch for reaching a cold temperature milestone would be appropriate. Maybe something like a polar bear in a hammock.

Probably need to scale it to whatever is "extreme" in your area. In MT, probably below 0 would be appropriate.
