Thanks for reporting back Wags and everyone else. Glad to hear the singles are working for you. I've still yet to sleep in mine but lounging is comfortable and at 180 there's some stretch but its not horrible.

Wags, Shoulder squeeze has to do with how the material is folded to the connected line... and of course material width.

When I was at 240, I was using the 1.9 with a little stretch. Sure wish I was 180, I'd be all over the 1.1!

    I'm 215#, and have a single 1.1 DIY.. I love it.

I just made a Single 1.7 and I actually like the 1.1 more...

I thought I would dig this old thread back up. Now that you have had some more time in your 1.1 singles, what are your thoughts about comfort, shoulder squeeze, etc...? I am thinking about a getting Traveler, primarily with the thought of doing some longer mileage section or even thru hiking. My thought is that I would like the weight savings of the Traveler, over my WBBB, at least in the non-buggy seasons. Maybe start with the Traveler, and switch to the WBBB for summer.

Anyway, I am 5'11", and about 165-170. I am trying to decide between the Single 1.1, Single 1.7 and Dbl 1.1. My WBBB is a double 1.1 and very comfortable. I use a partial underquilt and will be taking a cut down z-rest for my feet. (also as a possible pad if I need to sleep in a shelter) I think the small pad can be managed without the need for a double layer, but I would love some input. Exup? Wags? Others?

Re: Heavier hangers using 1.1 singles

The only reason to.go.with a 1.7 or dl for you is durability. I have no issues with a single 1.1, at 210#....
