Smile Made my own wanna-be Shug wristies

Well, really loved Shug's wristies that we always see on his videos, but couldn't find anything exactly like them for sale anywhere. I really wanted a set that has the palms exposed.

I got an idea when I noticed a hole in one of my socks. I figured that I would take an old pair, take a shot at cutting them in the best likeness of Shug's wristies that I could manage, and sewed on some elastic webbing to hold them on.

Don't think that they'll hold up very long (unraveling a bit on the edges), and I'll probably try to make a set out of some kind of stretchable fleece with proper hems and such, but figured that it was fun to try (and the price was right ).

As soon as I put them on, I felt this overwhelming desire to ride a single wheel over obstacles and jumps, balance really heavy things on my nose and swallow fire!

On second thought, maybe I'll just enjoy my wristies. . .

Thanks. Still trying to learn the whole sewing thing, but is fun to try. Didn't have a cool Spidey model to help me with mine, though .

(If you don't get that, check out creativeKayt's hammock DIY videos. . .)

My son came home from school a few years back (he was about 6 at the time) having cut thumb holes into the sleeves of his (almost) brand new shirt because he had gone on a field trip that day and was worried that his hands would get cold. While I applauded his resourcefulness at seeing a problem and coming up with a solution, I told him not to do that to his clothes again.

I made some of these out of a pair of old fleece socks I never wore anymore about 3 weeks ago. They work fantastically!
