I've done it with the smallest size crochet hook that they make.
    Wasn't fun ... but I did it

I forgot, Dylan had a very thin piece of copper wire that he used for splicing the zing-it. Enjoy the blisters.

I find a length of .024 stainless steel fishing leader wire bent in half answers well for burying 1.75mm lash-it; it’s an approach I picked up from a helpful post by Opie on another thread.

I have a needle with a long eye that I used for my mason line guy lines. (Video coming soon.) It worked, but you have to relax the weave to slip the needle through. Worked like a charm, though. But, everybuggy's right. When I went back to 7/64 amsteel, it seemed SO easy.

For the 7/64 amsteel, I'm using the wire threader that came with my tent pole replacement kit. Its long and thin, but retains its structure really well.

Heh heh. What's life without a little challenge now and again?

FWIW, I'm using a .022" piece of stainless fishing leader wire folded in half. Don't take too big of "bite" on the end you're trying to bury. That can make it harder to pull through. Oldgringo has a saying that in effect says if you don't have the end pull off every now and then, you're taking to big of bite.

    That's exactly what I use.

A single strand from some 240V household electrical cable.
Just bend it in half, and pinch the bent tip tight. Whalla - instant thin line splicing tool.

Very thin, stiff enough for splicing but has some nice flex to work with too on the ends. ie: easy to open up the end loop of the copper cable to feed the end of the splicing rope into for pulling back through too. (tapered rope of course)

    What's this blister thing ??

No seriously, I'm an office type worker (soft hands) and don't get blisters splicing 1.75mm zing it at all
I am a GEAR JUNKIE and GRAM COUNTER !!

There, It's out. I said it, Ahh I feel better now
