    Buying fabrics - maximum width

I trying to find some wide pieces of sil-nylon (or other proofed nylon) to have a go at my first tarp, the biggest widths only seem to be around 60-62".

Is there somewhere where I can get more like 11-12ft ?

I'm tempted to have a go with the narrower stuff anyway just as a practice run, for a real user though I'd like something without any seams to seal, especially directly over my head

Hi Shewie. The widest I've found was 7' on ebay. Be careful they charge extra shipping for each additional yard. It was uncoated.

67" is the maximum width I have ever found in Silnylon and that was from Quest Outfitters. Comes in deep forest green.

The typical strategy is to join two panels (flat felled seam is standard) It can be sealed very effectively and is the usual process even with the commoercially available tarps.
