Hey Bradley,
There were more of us (hammockers) in earlier times.
I'm the last one...hope my message gets out there...there may be a few silent hammockers out there...always hope......?
Or maybe I am the only one smart enough to know the true joys of a hammock in Newfoundland.

Poor Bluefin! Enjoy your unique status while you have it!
OP--as was mentioned earlier, you'll have to step up to the plate and get the ball rolling [excuse the mixed metaphors] in B.C.
BTW when the OP said he wanted a Canadien hang (with an "e"), I thought he was only inviting francophones! After first being slightly offended by his exclusive nature, then realizing what he really meant, my mind wandered...
...What would it be called? Congres du hamac? Réunion des amateurs de hamac? Salon du hamac? Festival du hamac? Habitat pour les habitants du hamac? (HabHabHam), ...stop me anytime...

i live in northern B.C.
Hi Canadian_eh,
I'm from Langley and a hanger. Looks like there's not much of us here in the Lower mainland. I wouldn't mind joining up with a few fellow hangers and hit up a nice long weekend to hang. We could plan a little weekender and represent.
Cheers!

There are quite a few hangers in the kayaking world. You won't find them here because hanging isn't their main focus, kayaking is. Most of them use Hennesseys,(word of mouth),,,and the gulf islands have good hanging spots. You might want to check out
