I believe there is no way to have a patterned silnylon. I am not certain, but I believe silnylon is impregnated with sil while it is still a thread, and then woven into a cloth. Once the sil is on you can't get a print pattern to stick. That is why all patterns are coated fabrics.

I am planning on using the 1.55 oz stuff for a tarp, using the diy sil process.

One idea for a small light tarp is to make a asym diamond using one width of fabric. I believe someone here posted the plans for that.

Well color me corrected. Thats the first time I have seen a patterned waterproof fabric that wasn't PU coated.

Kicking this one back around.....how about the 40D multicam sil nylon from duro sewn up as a tarp and a DIY sil treatment. I have been browsing that thread today and it looks promising I just ordered the WBBB in multi cam and would love a matching tarp.

I've wondered the same thing, swank, but didn't know if the DWR already on it was compatible with silicon.

But their 70D material has the DRW on one side and PU on the other. So, the question became whether PU could be applied to the 40D. I don't know the answer to that question.

I think they call it a nano finish? If you look at their water tests, I can't completely interprete the report but it looks like it holds its water repellency for many many washes?
