Greetings from Maryland!!!
I'm currently active duty Navy stationed in Maryland with my wife and very new to hammock camping. I've been hiking and camping for close to 15 years now and always been a tent go'er, but recently converted to hammock camping. I can't believe the comfort and weight benefits that came along with it. I'll be using the forums for communicating with fellow hangers about events, as well as learning new techniques for my hammock adventures.
Welcome brother. There is going to be a group hang in Pine Grove Furnace SP at the end of April. This would be awesome for you to attend if possible. You would get great tips and learn alot! You can see more about it here...

Thanks for the info on the Pine Grove Forest hang. I'll definitely be doing my best to make it out there at least one night.
