    I have two camo tarps (from Sportsman's guide) that in day light are very stealthy. come night & any moon & they may as well be back lit & WHITE!! In fact, with a full moon, the larger one looks white from a few yards away. Very probably it's the coating being very reflective, at least to moon light. In day light, neither one is even shiny.

    Sounds like UV dye used in the fabric processing. There are UV killer sprays on the market for this.
