Hello from a NW Indiana Noob

I have been a tent camper for a long time. Can’t sleep on the ground like I used to. My wife returned from Panama Rep. De Panama with a hammock made by her brother. Spent many a summer day relaxing in it when recently it hit me! (Yeah I’m kinda slow) So in my search for info on hiking, and hammock tents I stumbled across a web page by Risk. Then that led to Just Jeff’s page, a Google search turned up Shugs vids, while extremely entertaining they were also very informative. Shugs youtube vids led me here where I have immersed my self in all the DIY stuff.

Look forward to sharing my trials and tribs with you all. Looking forward to meeting members of the forum on the trails someday to.

I'll second that, the worst night I've ever spent in a hammock is still better than any night I spent on the ground... minus a trip down to Hocking Hills senior year but that's a whole other story

Looks like Shug got another horse to the trough and he started drinking the water. Welcome Flying bobo.
