Clark NX-250 on the way..!!

I have not used it all that much yet. But I would think that as long as there in no air gap between the quilt, and the hammock you will be fine. The Clarks have velcro down most of each side. The JRB quilts I'm using have at least a velcro footbox if not the full velcro option. They can either be used as a TQ, or an UQ. Lots of options. As an UQ I can almost just velcro it on, and the suspention just tightens up the head, and foot end. With two of there quilts I can make a pea pod like set up with all the room of the NX. It was toasty warm on my quick test the other day. 33*F No TQ just sweat shirt, and pants

Sounds like you can do lots of diffrent things with those UQ'S I have a trip planned for the first week of September in SC Colorado at around 10-11,000ft I don't know if I would need anything extra that time of the year besides the zero degree bag I have. And saving weight is going to be a big issue this time, can't decide if I should carry a pad etc or just risk it and go hammock and bag alone.. Decisions decisions..

I have two different sleeping pads. And one of my friends that is going to go along with us on our hunt/hike.. Owns almost zero camping equipment so im going to probably loan him one of the pads for sleeping in a tent.. These are the two pads I own, I guess I should give him the better of the two and me use the less insulated pad. I dont think I will get that cold but it is possible..

Then again I have until late August for you guys/gals to make me upgrade my equipment and get something that is perfect for my NX250 that dosent break the wallet.. lol

Here are a few pic's for you.

Nx150 JRB MT. Washington 4. Great fit. It has a velcro foot box, but I may see if I can send it back to make it full velcro. This would let me get the most out of the velcro around the edge of the hammock. The JRB summer quilt I bought from a fellow HF member had the full velcro option, and it works great.

MT/W4, and on top Shenandoah. Makes it into my hot tamale. No hard core testing yet, but there is a big difference in temp from inside to out.

I have to agree. But it could be vented as much or as little as you need down either side, or both.
