btw i tried this out today walking around a bit. it definitely works well enough to use it during rain storms. keeps the fronts of my thighs dry, which is all i can ask for when i'm hiking...

    Hey brother,
What does it look like and where did you get it? Sounds neat. Danrum

not very much coverage on the back. minimal. however i figure with my pack providing a ledge/roof for my back, i shouldn't need nearly as much. it may come down 1/3 of the thigh. like i said, i don't think it will work nearly as well as zpack's cloud kilt, or ULA's rain wrap. however for being a piece of gear that i'm carry anyway, in the UL swing of multi-purpose items, i think this is a hit for me

Grab a second grizz beak and go back the other way. Then you'll have doors for either end of your tarp, and a 'kilt' that covers your front and your back. Throw on a little omni tape and the whole thing will be quite secure.
