Much credit to Festus and NFA for sleeping on the Island one night...I was just too darn lazy to dig out my Tarp Tent...that's one area where a hammock has me beat. Setting up and breaking down in a winter environment is a PIA!
Hopefully we can snag some more of you hammock folks next year or during our summer trips.
I my self had a great time on the trip (even if I did went to ground) and can't wait till it warms up for me to hang again!

Looks like a BLAST! I myself have just gotten into hammock camping this year, & am fairly new to camping in general, but LOVE IT!! Always wanted to, but didn't like the "campground" scene, & could never get an answer till a few years ago on where you could camp other than that. LOVE the state forrest i camp in now! Probably be another year or two before i get to try winter camping. REALLY want the right gear for that, & it ain't exactly cheap, as you know. But really looking forward to that first winter one! Thanks for sharing the pics & info, & thanks crackmunk for steering me to this post. Happy hangin'
