    Reddit and Hammock Forums.

I noticed that you guys have buttons for Digg.com and StumbeUpon, but not for Reddit.

It might not be a bad idea to add a Reddit button too. I made a subreddit dedicated to hammock camping not too long ago (linked in the bottom of my post) and it's already gained over 200 users, many of whom are fans of this forum. This would probably help get you guys some more traffic. I'm not sure if you advertise but Reddit sells ad space starting at $20 or 30 a day too.

Just an idea to chew on.

Cheers Slanket, you are an excellent contributer to all of those subreddits.

    I second this notion!

I'll agree with this. Whiteblaze, Hammock Forums, and Reddit are the three sites I frequent the most in the course of my day. (I'm a professional lurker so don't let my lack of posts fool you)

Reddit is a "news aggregate" site. Meaning people submit stories (or pictures, videos, comics, posts written by themselves, etc) and other people vote on them so more people will see them.

Reddit has a lot of false information about everything. Guns, camping, cars, you name it.

Well, like many non-dedicated places for information online, it is necessary to doublecheck most things rather than take them for granted. This is especially true when the main demographic for a website is 20-30 year old males... they know everything. They are also more of a techie crowd, so some topics aren't exactly the main area of interest.

All that said, I find that I often find a ton of cool, interesting, helpful, etc. things on Reddit. Just use your internet skills!

Like Hilo said it's a place where people submit links and vote on user submitted links. Reddit is different from other aggregators in that any user can make their own section on the website. Each section has it's own address. In the case of the hammocks section it is http://www.reddit.com/r/Hammocks . For the sake of brevity, they're usually just referred to as r/Whatever_the_Section's_Name_is.

    Fixed that for you.

Seriously though, sites like Reddit are great because anyone can submit and anyone can vote on said submissions, but Reddit are also flawed because anyone can submit and anyone can vote on said submissions.

Anything read online should be taken with a grain of salt. There is lots of good information on Reddit, but if you see inaccurate information on Reddit (or anywhere else) you ought to point it out and correct it. I appreciate it when people do that and I think a lot of other people who use Reddit do too.
