Please take this poll I'm interested in making it as scientific as possible

Awhile back I was reading a thread, in which a self described newb was asking for advice on getting a more comfortable lay (in the hammock ) He got the usual advice about the sag, ridge-line length, etc... But I noticed, alot of hangers, whose insights into hanging I've come to respect, gave completely opposite advice. Some said you MUST have your head end no less than 6" higher than your foot end in order to be comfy, others saying too hike up the foot end for the same result, where as; others assured him his problems would be solved if he got his hammock completely level. So how do you do it?

you can get a line level at lowes or home depot for cheap and they weigh very very little if you need a visual when setting up

    I voted level.
For me level works best with a 35 degree angle.
If the tree distance won't allow the 35 I raise the foot about 6"

I hang my foot end just a bit higher. I found if I hang level with my setup that I tend to slide towards the foot end overnight. Placing my feet just a few inches higher keeps my from sliding around. The way I look at this is there's more body mass above my waist than below it, so by adding a little more angle from the height on the foot it, it sort of balances everything out. As always, HYOH.

I hang the foot end a bit higher, originally because of the sliding issue.
Another benefit: I have been sleeping with my feet raised for years, to reduce swelling in my legs, mostly due to being severely overweight. As I have approached the 200's (Going Down), that is less of a problem, but I still benefit from the slightly raised legs.

I usually have my foot end a couple of inches higher. I like to be more toward the head end of the hammock and having the feet higher seems to help keep me there.
I thought I was wrong once, turns out I was wrong about that.

Foot end a bit higher. My top half is heavier so at level, I slide toward my feet. With the foot end higher don't slide. That's the only difference I've noticed.
